Wool is an amazing and unique natural material.

It's naturally fire-safe.

The synthetic foam commonly used in children’s pillows and mattresses is a by-product of crude oil and is often highly flammable. Manufacturers add toxic flame retardant chemicals (like Antimony Oxide) to make them fire-safe. Children may be particularly vulnerable to the toxic effects of these chemicals, because their brain and other organs are still developing.
